Theory and Practice of Game Production I
This course provides students with practical tips to create 2D game animations. Students are required to engage in group discussions to produce a fully playable 2D game. Students become familiar with the game-planning process, and gain an understanding of 2D design in terms of its key points and limitations, as well as scripting basics, which aid programming logic.

Undergraduate
The aim of this course is to introduce students to the basic techniques and design approaches involved in the creation of computer games. Students also learn how to operate a game engine and write basic programming language, in order to create a playable game prototype.

Sophomore
Sophomore / 1st semester
Theory and Practice of Game Production II
This course provides students with practical tips to create 3D game animations. Students are required to engage in group discussions to produce a fully playable 3D game. Students become familiar with the game-planning process, and gain an understanding of 3D design in terms of its key points and limitations, as well as scripting basics, which aid programming logic.
Sophomore / 2nd semester
Virtual Reality Design
This course provides students with the basic skills needed to work in virtual-reality (VR), augmented-reality (AR), and mixed-reality (MR) environments. Students are divided into groups for a collaborative project creating innovative VR/AR/MR applications based on the latest technology and prescribed theory.


Junior
Junior / 1st semester
Game Narrative
This course is an introduction to storyline design and provides a variety of story-telling techniques. It enables students to incorporate different narrative models within game design. Students are required to submit a game script through teamwork by the end of the semester.
Experimental Game Design
This course explores the core elements of game design. Students are divided into groups to enable lively debate and collaborative brainstorming. Each group is required to submit a game prototype.
Junior / 2nd semester
Multiplayer Game Design
This course explores the interaction among gamers, including party games, social games, and online games. Students will learn the techniques that are used to design a multiplayer game.



Senior
Senior /1st semester
History of Video Games
This course is an introduction to the computer game industry and outlines the development of several classic games. This provides rich illustration of the thinking processes involved in game design.
